Live Oak Artists Guild members were well represented at the
Spring Into Art show in Valdosta on Monday, April 7. The entire event was exciting, from the severe thunderstorm we
braved to get there, to the more than 500 pieces of art on display, to the food
and drink, but most of all to the awards.
Glinda Pennock and Don LaBreque received merit awards. Anda Chance's colored pencil piece, "Night Riders" will be in the Colson calendar, as was her piece last year. Most exciting was the announcement that "How Now Brown Cow" received second place in the drawing category.
It is a little gem done by Susan Bell, who keeps telling us she is not a real artist. There will be no more of that from now on.
Other artists representing LOAG were Judith Adams, Eileen Box, Chris Flanagan , Suzanne Marcil, Marlene Mitchell, Wally Reichert, and Cathy Willson.
A fine time was had by all!
