Biography of Suzanne Marcil

Painting has been my hobby for many years.  Now that I am retired, it has become my true passion and a very valued part of my life.  I enjoy the peace that painting brings and the pleasure that comes with meeting fellow artists that share this same passion.

I started painting with acrylics about twenty years ago, later discovering pastels and the enjoyment of portraits.  More recently I began working with colored pencil and find it a wonderful and rewarding challenge.

In addition to showing my art in different exhibitions and venues, I have earned my signature membership with CPSA which mean I have been accepted in their international show three times within 10 years.

I am a member of the Live Oak Artists Guild (LOAG) where I serve as the treasurer, I am also a member of the Colored Pencil Society of America (CPSA),  I also serve as the secretary for the Colored Pencil Society of America Chapter District 113.
